Making certain that young students are physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially mature is crucial for long-term success.
An Overview of Early Childhood Education
Early childhood education can be an extremely rewarding and satisfying career. But given the sensitive nature of the field, combined with the unique mindsets of young students, professionals in this field should be prepared for a wide variety of challenges. In addition to the usual frustrations that accompany teaching, early childhood educators must be prepared to stand, walk, stoop, and lift throughout the course of a typical workday. You should possess an inherent love for children in addition to patience, a creative mind, and the ability to nurture and teach. You must also have organizational, administrative, and leadership qualities.
Educational Requirements
States have varying requirements for training and qualifications of early childhood educators. A bachelor's degree in early childhood education is mandatory in most states, although certification is sometimes sufficient for an entry-level position. The industry is poised for growth over the next few years, and fresh graduates can often hope to earn up to $70,000 a year in the prime of their careers. |
